
Valmond R. Cormier, 84, of Shediac, passed away on Monday, August 27, 2018 at the Villa Providence Shediac. Born on November 24th, 1933 in Haute-Aboujagane, he was the son of the late Alexandre and Corinne (LeBlanc) Cormier.
Prior to his retirement, he worked for CN and was a welder. In his free time, he enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping with family and friends, he also was an avid card player especially solitaire.
He will be sadly missed by his wife Juliette (Landry); his six children: Roland (Camilla) of Grand-Digue, Janice Leger (Raymond), Léon, Marcelle Bourque (Joel) of Shediac, Michel (Cindy), Gilles (Maria), of Shediac Bridge; his eight grandchildren: Danielle (Gaetan), Mario (Jill), Emily (Daniel), Jeremy (Yasmina), Alexandre, Dominic, Catherine (Tyler), Samuel (Anelle); two great grandchildren: Meka, Callie; his siblings: Omer (Elda), Alex (Yvette), Maria as well as many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his brothers: Roger, Alcide, Guy, Léo-Paul.
A chapel service will be held at Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, 396 Main Street, Shediac on Monday, September 3rd, 2018 at 11 am from where the family will receive condolences on Sunday, September 2nd from 2 pm to 4 pm and 7 pm to 9 pm only.
In memory of Valmond a contribution to the Villa Providence Activity Unit would be appreciated.
