
Laurence Gosselin, 77, of Moncton, passed away on Sunday July 29, 2018 at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont. Born on February 14, 1941 in Saint-Magloire-Bellechasse, Qué., she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Yvette (Carrier) Nadeau.
A restaurant entrepreneur in Moncton since 1972, Laurence was involved in the family businesses: Le Château à Pape, La Cave à Pape and Duane's.
She is survived by her husband for 57 years, Pius; six children: Pierre (Marlene), Michel and Suzanne Cyr (Guy Saulnier), all of Moncton, Shirley Kelly (Larry) of Dieppe, Silvie Poirier (Daniel) of Shediac Cape, and Geneviève Geneau (Brian) of Miramichi; 16 grandchildren: Stéphanie, Jean-Daniel, Nicholas, Rachelle (Maurice), Stéphane (Natasha), Peter, Jacob, Luc, Marie-Michel (Julien), Danica (Philippe), Vincent, Dominic, Gabrielle, Ebony, John (Grace), and Shane; three great-grandchildren: Kinsleigh, Samuel, and Alice-Laurence; six sisters: Aline Cormier (Fernand), Rita Chalifoux (late Pierre), Louisette Levesque (Jean-Claude), Pauline Parent (André), Monique Caso (Tony), and Lucille Dumais (Réjean); two brothers: Willie (Béatrice) and Serge (Elainerey); as well as several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by one son-in-law, Donald; one sister, Doris; five brothers: Serge, Guy, Claude, Paul, and Denis.
The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, 88 Church Street, Moncton (858-1900). Visiting hours are Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm only. The funeral mass will be celebrated at Notre-Dame-de-la-Paix R.C. Church, 87 Murphy Avenue, Moncton (858-1900) on Saturday August 4 at 11 am. Interment will be in Our Lady of Calvary cemetery, Dieppe. In memory of Laurence, a contribution to the CHU Dumont Foundation (oncology) would be appreciated.
