
Doreen Isabel Bourgeois, 79, of Shediac passed into the presence of God at the Dr. Georges-L. Dumont on Wednesday, July 25th, 2018 after a courageous battle with cancer.
Born in Toronto on December 19th, 1938, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Marjorie (Chatterton) Lambert.
A devoted mother and wife, she loved spending time with her family. Her devotion and care during her son Roger James’ life was an example of love. She was a dedicated lifetime member of the Shediac Ladies Auxiliary. She enjoyed doing crafts and costumes for her children and grandchildren. Doreen cherished family and life long friends. She had a positive outlook on life and knew how to have fun.
She is survived by her two children: Lynn (Darrel) Coates, Lannette (Wayne) Cudmore; three grandchildren: Marcel (Manon) Gaudet, Monique (Ryan Smyth) Gaudet, Christina (Mathieu) Landry; eight great grandchildren: Eva and Gabriel, Sophia, Zoë and Brody, Kaylie, Joshua and Dax; two sisters: Marjorie Crystal, Sharon (Raymond) LaFrance and a brother-in-law, Stan Lakin, also by several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband, Roger (2018); son, Roger James (2010) and a sister, Sophia.
The funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Joseph R. C. church, 415 rue Main Shediac on Monday, July 30th, 2018 at 2 p.m. The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, 396 Main Street, Shediac on Sunday, July 29th from 2 to 4 p.m. and from 7 to 9 p.m. only.
In lieu of flowers, a contribution to the Muscular Dystrophy Association in Roger James’ memory would be appreciated.
