Marie Margaret Richard, 81, of Moncton, passed away on Wednesday July 11, 2018 at The Moncton Hospital. Born on January 29, 1937, she was the adoptive daughter of John T. and Mamie (Fournier) Goguen.

She is survived by her children: Joanne Gayton-Thebeau and Joseph Edward Thebeau, both of Moncton; her step-daughter, Christine Meuse of Ontario; two special nieces: Tina Murray of Moncton and Sandra Paul of Moncton; her sister, Mary Anne Murray (Ralph) of Moncton; one brother, Jean-Paul Goguen of Moncton; one brother-in-law, Ralph Lewis of Salisbury; several step-grandchildren, step sisters, step brothers of the Richard family, nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her common-law husband, Dave O’Handley; one sister, Jeannine Lewis, as well as many brothers and sisters.

The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, 88 Church Street, Moncton (858-1900) from where the funeral service will be celebrated on Tuesday July 17 at 10:30 am. Visiting hours are Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm and Tuesday from 9:30 am until time of funeral. Interment will be in Our Lady of Calvary cemetery, Dieppe.
