Francis Gauvin, 89 of Grand-Barachois, passed away on Tuesday, May 1, 2018, at the Dr. Georges-L-Dumont University Hospital Center. He was born on April 20, 1929 in Dieppe, NB. He was the son of late Alban and Marie-Anne (Bourgeois) Gauvin.

He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather.

He is survived by his two sons: Roland of Grand- Barachois and Claude (Lindsey Patrick) of Ottawa; two grandsons: Alexandre and Daniel; his two sisters: Odette Bourgeois of New Hampshire, Rosina (Aimé) Belliveau of Cocagne; his four brothers: Normand of Moncton, Paul (Jeannette) of Dieppe, Léo (Dorine) of Dieppe and Léonard (Jeannita) of Massachusetts and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his wife Doris (2016); his sisters: Jeannine and Rita; his brothers: Fidèle, Aldorie and Omer.

The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, 396 Main Street, Shediac (532-3297) on Monday, May 7 from 9:30 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. The funeral mass will be held at Saint Henri Roman Catholic Church, 1356 Route 133 in Grand-Barachois on Monday, May 7, at 11 a.m.
