Roderick James Trites, 82, of Moncton, passed away on Friday February 23, 2018 at The Moncton Hospital. Born on September 16, 1935 in Moncton, he was the son of the late Willard James and Verona Juanita (Welling) Trites.

Roderick was the past owner of Lakeside Estates in Lakeville.

He is survived by his wife, Sheba of Indiana, USA; one son, Robert (Suzanne) of Moncton; one step-son, David Burns (Celia) of Indiana, USA; four grandchildren: Crystal, Adam, Michael, and Abigail; five great-grandchildren: Peter, Isaac, Kobe, Alphaeus, and Winrie; one sister, Audrey Fram (late Horace) of Sudbury, ON; as well as his nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his first wife, Lillian Cliff; two sons: Edward "Ted" and Peter; one step-son, Bobby; one brother, Douglas.

The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, 88 Church Street, Moncton (858-1900) on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm only. The funeral service will be celebrated at Living Waters Church of God, 24 Miracle Drive, Lakeville on Monday February 26 at 1 pm. Interment will be in Lakeville cemetery. In memory of Roderick, a contribution to The Gideon’s or to the Friends of The Moncton Hospital (Palliative Oncology) would be appreciated.
