
Alyre Frigault, 96, of Moncton, passed away on Thursday February 22, 2018 at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont UHC. Born on February 28, 1921 in Bas-Caraquet, he was the son of the late Alfred and Albina (Friolet) Frigault.
Alyre was employed at Fisheries and Oceans Canada before his retirement in 1984. He was a 4th degree member of the Knights of Columbus, council 3514, in Shippagan.
He is survived by his wife of 69 years, Jacqueline née DeGrâce; three daughters: Ginette Laroche (André) of St-Hubert, Qué., Lise Rockory (Bruce) of St-Martin, and Claire Greer (Lawson) of Vancouver, B.-C.; five sons: André (Poly), Gaston, and Jean, all of Moncton, Marc (Cindy) of Dieppe, and Luc of Riverview; 14 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren; one sister, Grita; four brothers: Dismas, Auradore, Donatien, and Evangéliste; as well as several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by one sister, Florentine; six brothers: Laurie, Guilmont, Normile, and Émilio, as well as infants Valmore and Dié.
The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, 88 Church Street, Moncton on Sunday from 2 to 4 pm only. The funeral mass will be celebrated at Christ-Roi R.C.Church, 300 Dominion Street, Moncton on Monday February 26 at 10:30 am. Interment will be in Our Lady of Calvary cemetery, Dieppe. In memory of Alyre, a contribution to the Christ-Roi R.C. church, 300 Dominion Street, Moncton would be appreciated.
