Chesley Brine, 88, of Castel des Flots Bleus, Cap-Pelé, passed away on Saturday, January 13, 2018 at the Dr. Georges-L. Dumont U.H.C., surrounded by his family.

Born May 1, 1929 in Botsford Portage, he was the son of the late William and Anastasia (Blanch) Brine.

Chesley is survived by his two daughters: Elaine Krebs (Peter) of Lincoln, and Barbara Eddy (Tracy) of Miramichi; five grandchildren: Shelley, April, Crystal, Kevin, and Thomas; three great-grandchildren: Annabelle, Alexi, and Clara; a sister, Blanche Gallant (Paul) of Riverview; and a daughter-in-law, Laura of Shediac; many nieces and nephews.

He is predeceased by his wife, Anita née Brun (1990); a son, Michael (2016), and an infant son.

The funeral mass will be celebrated at St.Thimothy R.C. Church, Shemogue, on Saturday, May 12 at 10:30 am.

Interment will be in the parish cemetery.
