
Arthur Doiron, 83, of Cap-Pelé passed away at the Dr. Georges-L Dumont UHC on Wednesday, October 4th, 2017. Born in Cap-Pelé on September 11th, 1934, he was the son of the late Lionel and Anita (Cormier) Doiron.
He was a member of the Pipe Fitters Union, Local 325. He also enjoyed wrestling and playing darts.
He is survived by his spouse of 60 years, Léonie; two daughters: Diane LeBlanc (Eugène "Gene"), Angèle Arsenault (Camille); two sons: Pierre (Kathleen Miller), Denis (Nathalie Jean); three sisters: Juliette LeBlanc (Léonce), Gilberte Goguen (Joseph), Anne Babineau (Aldoria); three brothers: Roméo (Alfreda), Roland, Joseph (Diane); four grandchildren: Ashlee, Jessey, Miguel, Christopher (Krista Gaudet) and one great granddaughter: Jasmine.
Arthur was predeceased by one brother, Edmond and two sisters: Thérèse Vienneau and Marie Vienneau.
According to his wishes, there will be no visitation.
The funeral mass will be celebrated at Ste-Thérèse D’Avila RC church, 2648 chemin Acadie, Cap-Pelé on Tuesday, October 10th at 10:30 am.
In memory of Arthur, a contribution to the Palliative Care Unit of the Dr. Georges-L. Dumont Foundation would be appreciated.
Cremation and funeral arrangements are under the direction of Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, 396 Main Street, Shediac (532-3297).
