Rita Brun, 97, of Grand-Barachois, wife of the late Éloi Brun, passed away on Sunday, September 24th, 2017 at her residence, the Villa Providence, Shediac. Born in Ohio du Barachois, N.B. on December 23rd, 1919, she was the daughter of the late Aurel and Alice Boudreau.
Rita enjoyed playing bingo and bottling the fall harvest from her garden.
She will be sadly missed by her three daughters: Claudette Arsenault (Gérald), Lina Hudlan (Donald) and Gloria Fougère (Donald); seven sons: Roger (Gail), Antoine (late Clarice), Eric (Jackie), Léandre (Aline), Donald (Linda), Maurice (Monique) and Gérald (Réna); 21 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren and 9 great-great- grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her husband, Éloi (1981); and three brothers: Léo, Alcide and Émile.
The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, 396 Main Street, Shediac on Thursday, September 28th from 2 pm to 4 pm and 7 pm to 9 pm and on Friday, from 9 a.m. until time of departure.
The funeral mass will be celebrated at the St. Henri RC Church, 1356 route 133, Grand-Barachois on Friday, September 29th at 10:30 a.m.
In memory of Rita, a contribution to Cimetière St-Henri Barachois or Oncology Unit - Dumont would be appreciated.
