
Sister Rita Vautour, ndsc, in religion Sr. Marie-Cyrilla, of Moncton, passed away on Sunday September 17, 2017 at the Maison-mère des Religieuses Notre-Dame-du-Sacré-Cœur in Moncton following a lengthy illness. She was 86 years old and in her 69th year of her religious life. Born January 18, 1931 in Moncton, she was the daughter of the late Cyrille and Obéline (Richard) Vautour.
Besides her religious family, she is survived by two sisters: Sr. Thérèse Vautour ndsc and Imelda Brimacombe (Bruce); one brother, Alfred (Camilla); one brother-in-law, Jos Gallant (late Genéva); as well as several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by one sister, Genéva.
Sister Rita will be resting at the Notre-Dame-d’Acadie Pavilion of the Maison-mère, 125 King Street, Moncton (Godfrey Lane entrance) on Wednesday from 2 to 8:30 pm and on Thursday from 9 am until the funeral mass. Solemn Vespers will be held Wednesday evening at 7 pm. The funeral mass will be celebrated Thursday September 21 in Maison-mère chapel at 10 am. Interment will be in Memramcook.
