It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Kyonna Richard, 16, of Petit-Cap, in an automobile accident on Tuesday, August 15, 2017. Born in Moncton on October 26, 2000, she was the daughter of Christopher Surette and Penny Richard.

Kyonna had a passion for fashion, music and animals. Her pride and joy were her cats, Thunder and Wizzy.

Besides her parents, she will be sadly missed by her two brothers: Kaleb Richard and Kodi Léger; paternal grandparents: Ronald Surette and Debbie Surette-Virgin (Robert); maternal grandparents: Réginald and Dorine Richard, as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Special friend, Shane Kelly. Interment will be in the Ste-Thérèse d’Avila cemetery in Cap-Pelé.

She was predeceased by a cousin, Benoit Cormier (2013).

The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, 2642 Acadie Road, Cap-Pelé on Friday, August 18, 2017 from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm and Saturday from 9:30 am until time of departure (10:15). The funeral mass will be celebrated at Ste-Thérèse d’Avila RC Church, 2648 Acadie Road Cap-Pelé on Saturday, August 19, 2017 at 10:30 am. Interment will be in the parish cemetery.
