Jean Richard, 82, of Villa du Repos, Moncton, passed away on Sunday, August 13, 2017 at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont University Hospital Centre following a lengthy illness. Born April 6, 1935 in Saint-Charles, he was the son of the late Jean and Marie (Arsenault) Richard.

He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Florence (LeBlanc); four children: Lorette LeBlanc (Roland) of Irishtown, Jackie Richard (Robert Boudreau) of Moncton, Cécile and Paul (Jarrod) both of Toronto; three grandchildren: Luc, Marc and Nathalie; one sister, Sister Laura Richard, NDSC; one, brother, Tim; many nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his siblings: Lorraine, Antoine, Luc, Aurèle, Lionel and Gérard.

The family will receive condolences at the Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, 88 Church Street, Moncton (858-1900). Visiting hours Tuesday August 15, from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. and Wednesday from 9:30 until time of departure (10:15). The funeral mass will be celebrated at Christ-Roi R.C. Church, 300 Dominion Street, Moncton, Wednesday, August 16 at 10:30 a.m. Interment will be in Our-Lady-of Calvary cemetery, Dieppe.
