
Clarence LeBlanc, 89, of Oasis D’Or in Dieppe and formerly of Lewisville, passed away on Thursday August 10, 2017 at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont UHC. Born on March 4, 1928 in Memramcook, he was the son of the late Hervé and Agathe (Gaudet) LeBlanc.
Clarence worked at CN Rails for 40 years until his retirement. Clarence was an avid bowler and a hockey and baseball enthusiast, enjoyed travelling and gardening, as well as regularly attending services at St-Louis-de-France.
He is survived by his son, Dr. Michel (late Gisèle) and granddaughter, Dr. Frances LeBlanc; one step-daughter, Lisanne Gautreau (Claude); three step-sons: Charles Arsenault (Marie-Thérèse), Paul-André Arsenault (Brigitte), and Réjean Arsenault (Lorryann); eight step-grandchildren: Dr. Renelle Gautreau (Alex), Sophie Gautreau (Dr. Martin), Jonathan Arsenault, Jasmine Arsenault, Roland Arsenault, Aryka Arsenault, Cassidy Arsenault, Ryan Arsenault (Gayle), and Rachel Dame (Cody); seven step-great-grandchildren: Maeve, Loralie, Kiera, Layla, Boston, Marcelle, and Maxime; two sisters: Sr Bernadette LeBlanc ndsc and Claudette LeBlanc (late Paul-Eugène); one brother, Adrien LeBlanc (Claudette), and by several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by both his wives, Léda (Saulnier) LeBlanc and Aurore (Allain) Arsenault; six sisters: Lorraine, Juliette, Colombe, Bernise, Anne-Marie and Ella; four brothers: Thomas, Camille, Leonard and Joseph-Henri; and one step-son, Marcel Arsenault.
The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, 88 Church Street, Moncton (858-1900) Monday from 2 pm until time of departure (4:15). The funeral mass will be celebrated at St-Louis-de-France R.C. Church, 5 Pleasant Street, Moncton on Monday August 14 at 4:30 pm. In memory of Clarence, a contribution to the CHU Dumont Foundation or to the N.B. Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.
