
Léona Léger, 86, of Trois-Ruisseaux, passed away on Wednesday, July 19, 2017 at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont UHC. Born on October 1, 1930 in Petit-Cap, she was the eldest daughter of the late Odias and Irène (Doiron) Ouellette.
She was a retired employee of Philippe Ouellette et Fils Fish Processing and a member of the Cap-Pelé Golden Age Club.
She is survived by her five sons: Léon (Linda), Eric (Dianne), Raymond (Kim) all from Trois-Ruisseaux, André (Lisa) of Lower Coverdale and Gilbert (Pamela) of Moncton; two sisters: Sr. Bernadette Ouellette N.D.S.C. of Moncton and Alida Gauvin (Gilles) of Québec; three brothers: Valerie (Léola) of Shediac, Normand (Marie) of Cap-Pelé and Léo (Desange) of Bathurst; five grandchildren: Luc (Mélissa), Joline, Caroline (Julien), Madeleine and Marc; great grandchildren: Lana, Charles and baby Boudreau, as well as many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her spouse, Alban (2000), one sister: Virginie Gillespie (Charles); three brothers: Philippe (Camilla), Éric (late Rosella) and Odias Jr (Betty).
The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, 2642 Acadie Road, Cap-Pelé on Friday, July 21, 2017 from 2 pm to 4 pm and 7 pm to 9 pm, on Saturday from 9 am till time of departure 10:15 The funeral mass will be celebrated at Ste-Thérèse d’Avila RC Church, 2648 Acadie Road Cap-Pelé on Saturday, July 22, 2017 at 10:30 am.
A special thank you to the staff and doctors of unit 4E at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont UHC for the excellent personal care given to our mother and also to the staff at the Manoir de la Butte of Cap-Pelé.
