Sister Clara Vautour, ndsc, in religion Sr. Adolphe-Marie, of Moncton, passed away on Saturday, July 15, 2017 at the Maison-mère des Religieuses Notre-Dame-du-Sacré-Cœur in Moncton following a lengthy illness.
She was 94 years old and in her 75th year of her religious life.
Born May 3, 1923 in Shediac, she was the daughter of the late Adolphe and Albina (Boudreau) Vautour.
Besides her religious family, she is survived by a sister-in-law, Madeleine (Hervé), as well as several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by four brothers: Père Camille, Léo, Philibert and Hervé; four sisters: Edna, Lumina, Régina and Sister Albina (Little Sisters of the Assumption).
Sister Clara will be resting at the Notre-Dame-d’Acadie Pavilion of the Maison-mère, 125 King Street, Moncton (Godfrey Lane entrance) on Tuesday from 2 to 9 pm and on Wednesday from 9 am until the funeral mass. Solemn Vespers will be held Tuesday evening at 7 pm. The funeral mass will be celebrated Wednesday July 19 in Maison-mère chapel at 10 am.
Interment will be in Memramcook.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, Moncton (858-1900).
