The family would like to announce the passing of our beautiful mother, Géraldine Marie Sivret Cormier on July 13th, 2017 at the Dr. Georges-L. Dumont UHC. She passed away peacefully due to heart problems at the age of 87. Géraldine, the daughter of the late Sophie (Haché) and Joachim Sivret was born at the Hotel-Dieu de l’Assomption in Moncton on April 27th, 1930.
On February 28th, 1949, she married the love of her life, Laurie J. Cormier (1928 - 2007) also from Moncton. She had a family of seven children: Gérard, Clarence, Micheal (Rosa), Edouard (Pauline), Monique, Marisa and Pierre (Donna). She will be greatly missed by her nine loving grandchildren: Kristopher, Sophie, Michalla, David, Patrick, Monika, Julien, Keeghan and Samuel. Today, she is survived by three siblings: her sister Stella (Doucet) living in Sunnybrae and two brothers: Raymond who lives in Moncton and Freddy in Hull, QC, as well as many nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents and husband, she was predeceased by three sisters: Rose, Bertha, Doris and three brothers: Gérard, George and Gérald.
A memorial mass will be held at La Visitation RC Church, 416 route 530, Grande-Digue on Thursday, July 20th at 6pm.
The family would like to thank the staff at the Dr. Georges-L. Dumont UHC for the great care given to our mother and for making her smile every day. Also, we know dad, you will take good care of mom. Love forever, Your children.
In memory of Géraldine, in lieu of flowers, a contribution to the Alzheimer Society of New Brunswick would greatly be appreciated.
Cremation and funeral arrangements are under the direction of Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, 396 Main Street, Shediac (532-3297).
