Surrounded by her loving family, Lucille Legault, 68, of Moncton, passed away peacefully on Thursday July 6th, 2017 at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont UHC. Born on December 9, 1948 in Moncton, she was the daughter of the late Aldrice and Elise (Belliveau) Belliveau.

Prior to her retirement, Lucille was a teacher at CCNB Dieppe and she also worked as a director with the French Literacy Program for South Eastern New Brunswick.

She is survived by her loving husband of 46 years, Michel; two daughters: Sylvie (Charles Daher) of Fredericton, and Annie (Charles Somers) of Quispamsis; one son, Marc (Jen D’Aoust) of Fords Mills; three grandchildren: Jacob, Eric, and Luc; two sisters: Diane Belliveau and Claire Belliveau Cantin (Marcel), both of Moncton; one brother, Paul Belliveau (Jacqueline) of Dieppe, as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.

As she journeyed these past 11 months of illness, she was met with such kindness and compassion by so many doctors and healthcare professionals.  For the short time there, a special debt of gratitude goes out to the gifted team of the Palliative Care unit at the Dr. George-L.-Dumont UHC.

The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, 88 Church Street, Moncton (858-1900) on Monday July 10th, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. The funeral mass will be celebrated at Ste-Thérèse-de-l’Enfant-Jésus, 160 Ste-Thérèse Street, Dieppe on Tuesday July 11th at 2 pm.

In memory of Lucille, in lieu of flowers, a contribution to the CHU Dumont Foundation (dialysis or oncology unit) would greatly be appreciated.
