Hector Savoie, 89, of Shediac and formerly of Moncton, passed away on Wednesday July 5, 2017 at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont UHC. Born on April 5, 1928 in St-Maurice, he was the son of the late Dosithée and Hélène (Poirier) Savoie.

He is survived by three children: Pauline, Michael (Nancy), and Pierre; four grandchildren: Sophie, Christopher, Mélanie, and Michelle; six great-grandchildren: Brhiannon, Phelan, Maeve, Dax, Helen, and Isabelle; one sister, Andréa Daigle (Maurice); many nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his wife, Gloria née Pellerin (2011); three sisters: Dorilda, Emma, and Roseanne; five brothers: Léandre, Emery, Alvin, Gérard, and Lionel.

In accordance to his wishes, there will be no visitation at the funeral home. A private memorial service will take place at a later date. Interment will be in Our Lady of Calvary Cemetery, Dieppe. In memory of Hector, a donation to a charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, Moncton (858-1900).
