Anne-Marie Gisèle Nelson, 62, of Moncton, passed away on Sunday June 11, 2017 at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont UHC. Born on June 16, 1954 in Saint John, she was the daughter of Edna (Bernard) Cormier of Moncton and the late Eugène Cormier.
Anne considered her life to be blessed with a handful of miracles! Her first miracle was the gift of life from a young girl who took the hardest decision to give her baby up for adoption. Motherhood for Edna and being adopted at three months by an outstanding couple as well as welcoming her brother to her very happy home was her second miracle; her family was complete. Her third miracle was when her husband walked into her life and chose her for his life partner and her fourth miracle was their wedding day in their backyard of McKenzie in Beautiful British Columbia. Her fifth miracle was her physiotherapist, Carole Vautour, who never quit trying and was the reason why she became a patient of Dr. Patrick Giroux. Anne was very touched by all the kind wishes and the beautiful stories from longtime friends who let her know how she had touched their lives without her knowing it. Through her positivity and spiritual guidance, she always tried to encourage everyone to perform an act of kindness in their daily lives. Hug your spouse for Anne, your partner, your friend.
Besides her mother, she is survived by her husband of 42 years, Glen; her brother, Paul Cormier (Wanda) of Prince George, BC; her nieces: Jennifer and Jessica; her nephew, Jason; as well as several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
In accordance to her wishes, there will be no visitation and no funeral service. Interment will be in Adamsville. In memory of Anne, a contribution to the Brain Tumour Foundation of Canada would be appreciated. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, Moncton (858-1900).
