
Omer Lirette, 88, formerly of Moncton, passed away on Friday June 9, 2017 at the Villa Providence in Shediac. Born on September 14, 1928 in Fox Creek, he was the son of the late Harre and Régina (LeBlanc) Lirette.
Prior to his retirement, Omer worked for 45 years with CFB Moncton.
He is survived by his special friend, Imelda LeBlanc of Villa Providence; his great-nephew, Don Goodin (Debbie) of Moncton; Don’s children: Julia, Jenna, and Jeremy; his niece, Joan Goodin (Roger) of Moncton; his godchild, Darlene Gauvin of Moncton; one brother, Armand (Rhéaldine) of Moncton; as well as several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by three sisters: Bella, Vivine, and Florine; five brothers: Clorice, Blair, Yvon, Paul, and Hervé.
The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, 88 Church Street, Moncton (858-1900) from where the funeral service will be celebrated on Monday June 12 at 10:30 am. Visiting hours are Sunday from 7 to 9 pm and Monday from 9:30 am until time of funeral. Interment will be in Our Lady of Calvary cemetery, Dieppe. In memory of Omer, a contribution to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
