Roger Laforge, 71, of Moncton, passed away on Saturday May 20, 2017 at the Villa du Repos in Moncton. Born on January 8, 1946 in Edmundston, he was the son of the late Edmond and Lillian (Cassidy) Laforge.

Roger was an avid pool player and loved bowling. He was the former owner of Bouctouche Bowling, and then became manager of Dieppe Bowlarama in Dieppe, Fairlanes Bowling and Elmwood Bowling in Moncton. He was also a 3rd degree member of the Knights of Columbus - Council 6468.

He is survived by two daughters: Diane Laforge of Dieppe and Suzanne Laforge-Cormier (Robert ‘Bobby’) of Shediac; one brother, Louis (Claudette) of Edmundston; two grandchildren: Jérémie and Isabelle; his nieces and nephews, as well as the mother of his children, Normande Beaulieu.

He was predeceased by one brother, Gilles.

The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, 88 Church Street, Moncton (858-1900) from where the funeral service will be celebrated on Wednesday May 24 at 10:30. Visiting hours are Tuesday from 7 to 9 and Wednesday from 9:30 until time of funeral. Interment will be in St-Joseph parish cemetery in Shediac. In memory of Roger, a contribution to the CHU Dumont Foundation would be appreciated.
