
Sister Carmen Beaulieu, ndsc, in religion Sr. Marie-Emma, of Maison-mère des Religieuses Notre-Dame-du-Sacré-Coeur, Moncton, passed away following a short illness on Tuesday May 16, 2017 at the convent. She was 88 years old and in her 71st year of her religious life. Born June 16, 1928 in Drummond, she was the daughter of the late Émile and Emma (Lagacé) Beaulieu.
Besides her religious family, she is survived by one sister-in-law, Yvonne Beaulieu of Drummond; two nieces and one nephew. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by three sisters: infant Parise, Ella, and Hilda; three brothers: infant Fernand, Renaud and Condé.
Sister Beaulieu will be resting at the Notre-Dame-d’Acadie Pavilion of the Maison-mère, 125 King Street, Moncton (Godfrey Lane entrance) on Friday from 2 to 8:30 pm and on Saturday from 8:30 am until the funeral mass. Solemn Vespers will be held on Friday evening at 7 pm. The funeral mass will be celebrated on Saturday May 20 in the Maison-mère chapel at 9:30 am. Interment will be in Memramcook. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, Moncton (858-1900).
