Claude "Buddy" Melanson, 90, husband of the late Ella Melanson formerly of Boudreau Ouest passed away on Sunday, May 7^th, 2017 at his residence in Shediac. Born on March 7^th 1927 in Shediac, he was the son of the late Blair and Léona (Hendrickson) Melanson.

He will be sadly missed by his foster child, Margarette Bernateau; two nephews: Émery Léger and Boyd Hendrickson; a brother in-law, Roger Léger (Jacqueline).

Besides his wife, he is predeceased by a sister, Melvina.

The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, 396 Main Street, Shediac, from where the funeral will be celebrated on Friday May 12^th, 2017 at 10:30 am. Visiting hours are Friday from 9 am until time of funeral. A reception at the centre will follow. Interment will be in St. Joseph R.C. cemetery in Shediac.

In memory of Claude, a contribution to the CHU Dumont (oncology department) would be appreciated.
