Hilaire Jacob, 70, of Cap-Pelé passed away on Sunday May 7th, 2017 at his residence. Born in Petit-Cap on July 31st, 1946, he was the son of the late Léo and Enna (Melanson) Jacob. Hilaire loved visiting Aboiteau wharf several times daily.
He is survived by his three children: Michel (Marthine), Nancy Kitson (Joey) and Russel (Véronique); two sisters: Rosella "Pella" Bourque (late Robert) and Marcella (Garnet Campbell); seven brothers: Eudore (Nicole), Eric (Lucie), Francis (Kartini), Valois, Maurille, Valerie (Glenda) and Marcel; eight grandchildren: Gabrielle, Frédéric, Annie, Patrick, Julien, Zachary, Xavier and Rubie; mother of his children and special friend, Noëlla Cormier, many nieces and nephews.
The family will receive condolences at the Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, 2642 Acadie Road, Cap-Pelé (577-3297). Visiting hours are Wednesday May 10th, 2017 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm only. The funeral mass will be celebrated at Ste-Thérèse d’Avila R.C. Church, 2648 Acadie Road, Cap-Pelé on Thursday May 11th at 10:30 am. Interment will be in the parish cemetery.
