Naguy F. Helmy, 81, of Moncton, passed away following a lengthy and courageous battle for life, on Monday May 1, 2017 at the Dr-Georges-L.-Dumont UHC. Born on April 14, 1936 in Cairo, Egypt, he was the son of the late Dr. Farid and Juliette (Morcos) Helmy.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Francine Helmy née Charneux; his children: Freddy Helmy and his spouse Catie Corriveau of Montréal, Qué., Carl Helmy of Moncton, and Natalie Wintermark née Helmy and her husband Herman of Oslo, Norway; his grandchildren: Helena, Sebastian and Félix-Naguy; his brother, Dr. Hany and Suzanne Helmy and their children of the United States; many brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces and extended Charneux family.

A private funeral service and burial will take place in Côte-des-Neiges, Montréal, Qué., on Monday May 8, 2017. In memory of Naguy, an act of solidarity, compassion or assistance towards people or a charity of your choice would be appreciated.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, Moncton (858-1900).
