
Laurise Maillet, 81, wife of Alderice Maillet of Irishtown, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loved ones on Saturday, April 29, 2017 following a lengthy illness.
Born January 24, 1936 in Ste-Marie-de-Kent, she was the daughter of the late Hilaire and Ida (Boucher) Cormier.
A loving wife and mother, she also enjoyed gardening, cooking, quilting, and spending time at the cottage in Ste-Marie.
Besides her beloved husband of 62 years, Laurise will also be sadly missed by her four children: Lucille Hébert (John), Guy (Gisèle), Léo-Paul (Patsy), and Denis (Tammy); her seven grandchildren: Pierre, Marcel, Nicole, Adam, Justin, Lacey, and Morgan; five great-grandchildren: Luke, Nolan, Madden, Nora, and Madelaine; two sisters: Aline Bergeron (late Andrew), and Yolande Collette (Rhéal Despres); a brother, Victor (Lorraine); many nieces, and nephews.
A brother, Alfred, predeceased her.
The family will receive condolences at the Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, 88 Church Street, Moncton (858-1900) from where the funeral service will be celebrated on Wednesday, May 3 at 3 pm. A reception at the centre will follow. Visiting hours Tuesday from 2-4 & 7-9 pm.
Interment will be in St. Lawrence O’Toole Cemetery, Irishtown.
