It is with great sadness that we advise you of the sudden death of Armand Landry, 73, of Grand-Barachois on Tuesday, March 28th, 2017 at the Dr. Georges-L. Dumont Hospital UHC. Born in Dupuis Corner on June 24th, 1943, he was the son of the late Ovila and Dorice (LeBlanc) Landry.
Armand was a carpenter, who enjoyed doing work and giving his time to family and friends. He was always ready to lend a helping hand to others. Armand was also the foreman of the Preservation Project for the Barachois Historical Church
He is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Denise; a son, Denys (Lise Vautour); a daughter, Debby; three brothers: Léo (late Ann), Henry (Fernande) and Jean (Geraldine); five sisters: Jeannette (late Anatole), Thérèse, Lorraine, Marceline (Wayne) and Roberte (Dickie); three granddaughters, a father figure to his granddaughters: Megan (Daniel Bourgeois), Ashley and Kayla, as well as many nieces and nephews.
The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, 396 Main Street, Shediac, on Friday, March 31st from 2 pm to 4 pm and from 7 pm to 9 pm and Saturday, April 1st from 9 am until time of departure (10:10 am). The funeral will be celebrated at St-Henri R. C. Church, 1356 route 133, Grand-Barachois on Saturday, April 1st, 2017 at 10:30am. Interment will be in the parish cemetery.
In memory of Armand, a contribution to the Historic Church of Barachois or to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of New Brunswick would be appreciated.
