Roger Richard, 79, of Sussex and formerly of Dieppe, passed away on Thursday March 16, 2017 at the Sussex Health Centre. Born on July 21, 1937 in Moncton, he was the son of the late Arcade and Eselda (Drisdelle) Richard.

Roger was the owner of Blue Circle Tavern, founding partner of the first cable company in Moncton, and caretaker at Our Lady of Calvary cemetery in Dieppe.

He is survived by two daughters: Sheila Mills (Brad) of Westford, MA, and Charlene Manning (Bob) of Sussex; two grandchildren: Sabrina and Jayson; three sisters: Rosella Boudreau (late Rudy) of Moncton, Corinne Leroux (late Roger) of Montréal, QC, and Géraldine Lavigne of Saint John; one brother, Robert (Andréa) of Moncton; several nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his adoptive mother, Emilie; his wife, Jeannette Boudreau (1980); two brothers: Joe and Edouard.

A private family gathering was held at Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, 88 Church Street, Moncton (858-1900). Interment will be in Our Lady of Calvary cemetery, Dieppe. In memory of Roger, a contribution to the Canadian Red Cross (Haïti Mission) would be appreciated.
