Maurice "Mike" Gaudet, 86, of Moncton, passed away on Tuesday March 21, 2017 at his residence. Born on February 10, 1931 in Moncton, he was the son of the late Alphonse and Anna (Girouard) Gaudet.

Maurice was employed in sales at K-Mart. He was a musician and former band member of the Amos Landry Orchestra as well as various other bands.

He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Frances née Cormier; three children: Michael (Jackie), Margaret-Anne and Mark (Amanda); one sister, Maxine Dionne (late Claude); one brother, Aubrey (Brigitte); as well as several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by two sisters: Annette Perritt and Cyrilla MacIntyre; one brother, Paul "Boogie".

In accordance to his wishes, there will be no visitation nor funeral service. A private family interment will be held at a later date in Our Lady of Calvary cemetery, Dieppe. In memory of Maurice, a contribution to a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, Moncton (858-1900).
