Sister Estelle Frenette, ndsc, in religion Sr. Marie-Jean-Marthe, of Maison-mère des Religieuses Notre-Dame-du-Sacré-Coeur, Moncton, passed away following a lengthy illness on Friday February 24, 2017 at the convent where she resided.

She was 90 years old and in her 73rd year of her religious life. Born August 4, 1926 in Petit-Rocher, she was the daughter of the late Jean and Marie-Marthe (Doucet) Frenette.

Besides her religious family, she is survived by several nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by one sister, Marthe; five brothers: Gérard, Hector, Léon, Alonzo, and infant Joseph.

Sister Frenette will be resting at the Notre-Dame-d’Acadie Pavilion of the Maison-mère, 125 King Street, Moncton (Godfrey Lane entrance) on Sunday from 2 to 9 pm and on Monday from 8:30 am until the funeral mass. Solemn Vespers will be held on Sunday evening at 7 pm. The funeral mass will be celebrated on Monday February 27 in the Maison-mère chapel at 9:30 am. Interment will be in Memramcook. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, Moncton (858-1900).
