Aquilla Gautreau, 65, of Haute-Aboujagane, passed away on Saturday, January 7th, 2017 at the Dr. Georges-L. Dumont UHC. Born on June 1st, 1951 in Haute-Aboujagane, he was the son of the late Amedée and Yvonne (LeBlanc) Gautreau. He was a retired forklift driver for Co-op Atlantic.
He will be sadly missed by his two children: Eric (Sophie) and Aline (Gilles Boudreau); five brothers and sisters: Anita Doiron, Omer (Gisèlle), Henri (Gisèlle), Donald (Florence) and Dollard (Albertine); four grandchildren: Melika, Sabrina, Gabrielle and André, as well as many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his wife, Carol (2016); brothers and sisters: Alice, Dorine, Emery and Ulysse.
The family will receive condolences at the Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, 396 Main Street, Shediac (532-3297) from where the funeral service will be celebrated on Wednesday, January 11th at 10:30 am. Visiting hours are Tuesday from 7 to 9 pm and Wednesday from 9:30 am until time of service.
In memory of Aquilla, a contribution to the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
Cremation and funeral arrangements are in the care of Frenette Funeral and Cremation Center, Shediac.
