
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Marcel Landry, 59, of Bas-Cap-Pelé on Thursday December 29th, 2016 at the Dr. Georges-L. Dumont UHC. Born in Bas-Cap-Pelé on January 15th, 1957, he was the son of the late Rodolphe and Estelle (Porelle) Landry.
A devoted husband, father, grandfather, Marcel enjoyed spending time with his family. Marcel retired from Dr. Georges-L. Dumont UHC with Biomed after 34 years of service and was also a former employee of the Federal Public Service Pension (DSS) in Shediac. He enjoyed playing hockey, traveling, lobster fishing and playing practical jokes on co-workers, family and friends.
He is survived by his childhood sweetheart and wife of 38 years, Roberta; three children: Cynthia Maillet (Maurice), Mireille Cormier, Maryse Landry (Mathieu Léger); one sister: Jeanne Robichaud (Danny); three brothers: Alvin (Loretta), Allard (Alva), Bernard (Claudette), and five grandchildren: Marco, Arielle, Tristan, Catherine and Cédric.
The family will receive condolences at the Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, 2646 Acadie Road, Cap-Pelé on Monday January 2nd from 2pm to 4pm and from 7pm to 9pm, on Tuesday January 3rd from 9:30am till time of departure at 10:20am. The funeral will be held in Ste-Thérèse d’Avila RC church, 2648 Acadie Road Cap-Pelé on Tuesday January 3rd at 10:30am. Interment will be in the parish cemetery.
In memory of Marcel, a contribution to the Dr. Georges-L. Dumont Foundation - Oncology unit or Heart and Stroke Foundation of New Brunswick would be greatly appreciated.
