Alban Comeau, 91, of Comeau Street, Shediac, passed away at the Dr. Georges-L. Dumont UHC on Tuesday, December 27th, 2016. Born May 21st, 1925 in Trois-Ruisseaux, he was the son of the late Alphée and Eugénie (Léger) Comeau. He was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
He will be sadly missed by his two daughters: Andréa Comeau, with whom he resided and Yvette Niles (Éric); two sons: Roger (Noëlla) and Bernard; three grandchildren: Serge, Danielle and Luc; four great-grandchildren: Yannick, Patrick, Sofia and Cédric; former daughter-in-law, Claudette, as well as many nieces and nephews
He was predeceased by his wife, Dorice (2012);
great-grandson, Samuel; brothers and sisters:
Léona, Marguerite, Théophile, Alfred, Tilmon,
Rodolphe, Abel and by an infant sister.
The
family will receive condolences at the Frenette Funeral and Cremation
Centre, 396 Main Street, Shediac (532-3297). Visiting hours Friday,
from 2-4 and 7-9 pm, and Saturday from 9:30 am until departure
(10:20). The funeral mass will be celebrated at St-Joseph R.C. Church,
415 Main Street, Shediac, on Saturday, December
31st, 2016 at 10:30 am. Interment will be in
the parish cemetery.
In memory of Alban, a donation to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of New Brunswick or Vestiaire St. Joseph Food Bank would be appreciated.
