
It is with great sadness and the utmost respect we announce the passing of Jean-Paul Cormier B. Com., 69, of Grand-Barachois, on Saturday, December 17th, 2016 at the Dr-Georges-L.-Dumont UHC. Born November 13th, 1947 in Bouctouche, he was the son of the late Zoël and Lina (Larcenaire) Cormier.
Jean-Paul graduated from the University of Moncton with a Bachelor of Commerce Degree. He worked many years as a tax auditor. After his retirement, he opened a business called Country Brewers, which he and his wife enjoyed together. His true passion was golf. Jean-Paul was a very caring, loving, giving, and a real gentleman with a huge heart.
He will be sadly missed by his loving wife, Sheri (Hatfield) Cormier, whom he said was the love of his life; step-daughter, Natalie Pickard (Darren Morrow) of New Maryland, N.B.; one sister, Jeannine Boudreau (Omer) of Shediac; two sister-in-law’s: Christine Hatfield of Moncton, and Cecile Cormier of Grand-Barachois; one brother in-law, Dr. Brad Hatfield of Maryland, USA, and many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by a brother Fernando (2015).
By request, there will be no visitation. The funeral mass will be held at St. Henri R. C. Church, 1356 Route 133, Grand-Barachois on Wednesday, December 21st, 2016 at 10:30 am. Interment will be in St. Henri parish cemetery in the spring.
