Bertha Cormier, of Auberge du Soleil, Dieppe, passed away peacefully at the Moncton Hospital on Friday December 9, 2016.

Born June 30, 1925 in Nigadoo, she was the daughter of the late Henri and Léa (Arseneau) Doucet.

She is survived by her husband, Raymond Cormier; six children : Daniel (Andrée Leger-Cormier), Gilbert (Claudette), Claudine (Gérard Gagnon), Rachelle (Bernard Fontaine), Michel (Anne), Robert (Roseline Basque); three step-children : Maurice,(Suzanne), Michel ( Liette), Janice (Robert Jaillet); her grandchildren : Gilles, Marc, Charline, Ginette, Denis, Marc-André, Pierre, Stéphane, Luc et Rémi; her step-grandchildren : Lynne, Pierre, Jessica, Patrick, Jean-Luc, Luc, Matthieu, Marc et Benoit; her great-grandchildren : Érica, Nadia, Savannah, Alexandre, Lucas, Yasmine, Yeabsira, Dean, Jack, Temesgen; her step-great-grandchildren : Joséphine, Bruno, Louie, Toma, Takumi, Jules; two sisters : Rosa Bois and Clarice Arseneau (Camille Richard), a brother, Aldéric Doucet (Violet); her many brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces,  nephews, and cousins.

She is predeceased by her husband, Edmond Cormier, a daughter, Yvette; her brothers and sisters: Matilda Frenette, Marie-Anne Saint-Onge, Valmond, Willie, and Clément.

Bertha was a generous person and was well appreciated by all who met her. She especially enjoyed being surrounded by her loving family.

She had been employed in the family business of Ed’s Service Repair and also at Résidence Notre-Dame du Sacré-Cœur.

She was a member of Dieppe Dames Chevalières, and the choir 3ième âge at l’Université de Moncton.

Her favorite activities were dancing, walking, sewing, bowling, and playing cards.

The family will receive condolences at the Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, 88 Church Street, Moncton (858-1900). Visiting hours Tuesday, December 13 from

7-9 pm only.

The funeral mass will be celebrated at Ste-Thérèse-de-l’enfant-Jésus R.C. Church, 160 Ste-Thérèse Street, Dieppe on Wednesday, December 14 at 11:30 am.

Interment will be in Our Lady of Calvary Cemetery, Dieppe.
