Louisa Vautour, 92, of the Villa Providence and formerly of Main Street, Shediac, passed away on Thursday, December 8th, 2016. Born on May 13th, 1924 in Neguac, she was the daughter of the late Georges and Mathilde (Savoie) Vautour.
Louisa was a retired cook with the Villa Providence and Gould Fried Clams.
She is survived by two daughters: Noëlla LeBlanc (Henri) and Georgette; three sons: Paul-Émile (Géraldine), Jean-Marie (Louise) and Antonio (Luella); seven grandchildren: Michael, Maurice, Marcel, Pauline, Gregory, Monica and Rémi; eight great-grandchildren: Sarah, Samuel, Alycia, Alexandra, Joshua, Jacob, Alexandre and Katelyn, as well as many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her loving husband, Alphonse (1999); infant son, petit-Jean-Marie (1953); a grandson, Jeffrey; three brothers: Jean, Gervais and Médard; three sisters: Mélina, Elizabeth and Souveraine.
The family will receive condolences at the Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, 396 Main Street, Shediac (532-3297). Visiting hours Friday, from 2-4 and 7-9 pm, and Saturday from 9:30 am until departure (10:20). The funeral mass will be celebrated at St-Joseph R.C. Church, 415 Main Street, Shediac, on Saturday, December 10th at 10:30 am. Interment will be in the St-Joseph Cemetery, Shediac.
