Sara Babineau, 97, of the Villa Providence, Shediac and formerly of Robichaud Office passed away on December 7th, 2016, at her residence. Born June 15th, 1919, in Robichaud Office, she was the daughter of the late Willie and Roseanne (Bourque) Thibodeau.
She is survived by her six daughters: Rose-Marie Duguay (late Larry), Rolande Cormier (Raymond), Gisèle Cormier (late Raymond), Estelle Brun (Gordon), Louise Landry (Pierre) and Jeannette Gaudet (Roger) all of Grand-Barachois; four sons: Éric (Julia), Gérald (Cécile Vautour), Jean-Baptiste (Ruby Smith) and Louis (Linda); 22 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband, Mélème; one son, Léonce; four brothers: Jean-Baptiste, Edgar, Camille and Philippe; three sisters: Alma LeBlanc, Yvonne Lirette and Jeanne Gaudet;
The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, 396 Main Street, Shediac (532-3297) on Sunday, December 11th, 2016 from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm only. The funeral mass will be celebrated in the St. Henri Roman Catholic Church, Grand-Barachois on Monday, December 12th, 2016 at 10:30 am. Interment will be in the St-Henri de Barachois parish cemetery.
In memory of Sara, a contribution to the Alzheimer Society or Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.
