Alphée "La Mouche" Cormier, 77, of Bouctouche, passed away on Sunday November 20, 2016 the Stella-Maris Hospital. Born October 15, 1939 in Shediac, he was the son of the late Gérard and Céline (Gallant) Cormier.

He loved hunting, fishing, and spending time with his family.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Jeannette (Doiron); two daughters: Carole Caissie (Victor) and Lisa Duplessis; five grandchildren: Donna, Jamie, Sophie, Sylvie, and Janie; three great-grandchildren: Austin, Logan, and Cody: his brothers and sisters: Raymond, Alvin (Yvette), Jean-Charles (Monique), Léonce (Paulette), Lorenzo, Gérald (Linda), Norbert (Annette), Angela McPhee, and Laurentine.

He is predeceased by a sister, Cecile; brothers: Armand and Abraham.

The family will receive condolences at the Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, 396 Main Street, Shediac (532-3297). Visiting hours will be on Wednesday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m., and Thursday,  from 10 a.m. until departure (10:50).

The funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Joseph’s R.C. Church, 405 Main Street, Shediac, Thursday November 24 at 11 a.m. Interment will be in the parish cemetery.
