
Bliss Richard, 72, of Trois-Ruisseaux formerly of Petit-Cap passed away on Wednesday, November 9th, 2016, at the Dr. Georges-L. Dumont UHC. Born on June 15th, 1944 in Petit-Cap, he was the son of the late Gilbert and Edmée (Jacob) Richard.
He was a lobster fisherman for over 50 years.
Bliss is survived by his spouse of 48 years, Alfreda (LeBlanc); two children: Tina Doiron (Brian), Randy (Joëlla Losier); seven sisters: Gilberte Ouellette (Laurie), Jeanita Bastarache (Léo-Paul), Lola Girouard (feu Normand), Thérèse Richard (feu Roger), Maria Richard (David LeBlanc), Huguette Brine (Roderick), Joan Richard; six brothers: Rhéal (Marie), Yvon (Linda), Dick (Louise), Raymond (April), Claude, Bernie (Rose); three grandchildren: Zachary, Mykaël, and Mélyka.
He was predeceased by a brother, Valerie and an infant sister: Maria.
The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral Home, 2642 Acadie Road, Cap-Pelé on Sunday, November 13th from 2pm to 4pm and from 7pm to 9pm; Monday, November 14th from 9:30am till time of departure at 10:15am. The funeral mass will be held at Ste-Thérèse-d’Avila RC church, 2648 Acadie Road, Cap-Pelé on Monday at 10:30am.
In memory of Bliss, a contribution to the Boîte lunch École Donat Robichaud or to the Dr. Georges-L. Dumont Tree of Hope would be appreciated.
