Alma Landry of Shediac NB, loving wife of late Donald, passed away peacefully surrounded by the love and prayers of her family on Thursday, November 3rd, 2016 at the Dr. Georges-L. Dumont UHC in Moncton. Born in Shediac on August 7th, 1931, she was the daughter of the late Gilbert and Élise (McGraw) Cormier.

Alma was a lifelong resident of Shediac and was a member of the Club d’âge d’or Shediac where she was famous for her "Poutines à trou". She worked in different local retail establishments in Shediac.  She also enjoyed travelling to Florida in the winter months, especially St. Pete’s. She always had a "Joie de vivre" and a special twinkle in her eyes. She loved knitting, sewing and bingo.

Alma will be sadly missed by her children:  Michel (Huberte) of Moncton, Gilberte (Yvon) Martin, Claude (Peggy) , Claudette Landry all of Shediac, Charline (Blair) McInnis of Dieppe; her sister: Marianne (Martin) Gionet of Saint John; her 13 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.

Alma was predeceased by her husband Donald (2015); her parents: Gilbert and Élise; her son Paul (1969); five brothers: Joseph, Henri, Léonce, Gérard, Jean-Paul; two sisters: Corinne and Rita.

The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, 396 Main Street, Shediac on Sunday November 6th from 2pm to 4pm and from 7pm to 9pm only. The funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Joseph R. C. Church, 415 Main Street, Shediac on Monday November 7th at 10:30am.

In lieu of flowers, a contribution to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or to the Alzheimer Society would be greatly appreciated.
