Francis T. "Frank" Gillespie, 65, of Moncton, passed away on Thursday October 13, 2016 at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont UHC. Born on September 4, 1951 in Glace Bay, NS, he was the son of the late Raymond and Martha (Gaul) Gillespie.

Frank obtained his Bachelor’s Degrees of Arts and Education at St. Francis-Xavier University in Antigonish. In 1980, he graduated from Victoria General Hospital in Halifax as a Registered Nurse. He worked as an RN at St. Paul’s Hospital in Vancouver, BC, and was a very active member of the B.C.N.U. for 35 years.

He is survived by his special friend, Ben Chen of Taipei, Taiwan; one sister, Cathy Smyth (Jim) of Moncton; one brother, Terry (Pam) of Lansdale, PA; one niece, Martha; six nephews: Joe, Brendan, Colin, Sean, Michael, and Matthew; as well as several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

He was predeceased by one brother, Shawn.

In accordance with his wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral service. In memory of Frank, a contribution to the Canadian Diabetes Association would be appreciated. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, Moncton (858-1900).
