Odélia Cormier-Leger, 89, wife of Nazaire Leger of Shediac, passed away on Saturday November 7, 2015 at the Dr. Georges-L. Dumont UHC following a lengthy illness.

Born July 27, 1926 in Barachois, she was the daughter of the late Benoit and Basélice (Doiron) Lirette.

Beside her husband, Odélia is also survived by her eight  children: Thérèse Wilpert (Lou Ballak), Diane Cormier, Oscar, Gerry, Louis, Maurice, Pauline Deveau, and Michael Cormier (Monette); 20 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren; a step-son,  Roger Leger (Jacqueline); a sister, Élodie Pellerin; many nieces, and nephews.

She is predeceased by her first husband; Hector Cormier (1994), an infant daughter, Florence; a sister, Anna; two brothers: Eloi and Gérard.

In accordance to Odélia’s wishes, the funeral service will be private.

Interment will be in Grand-Barachois.

In memory of Odélia, a contribution to the NB Heart & Stroke Association would be appreciated.
