It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of a beloved husband, father, and pépère on October 29, 2025 at the age of 84 (48 at heart).  Paul was born and raised in Moncton and the son of the late Camille and Gladys.  Paul’s brilliant inquisitive mind was captivating.

Paul was an avid sailor and a member of S.B.Y.C. for many years.  Paul and Nancy loved sailing together, and with family and friends.  Shediac Island was a favorite with his cherished grandchildren.  Moonlight sailing with friends was all too common.

Paul and Nancy had fun together: van camping, bicycling and enjoying sipping wine with friends under their “famous” tree.

Paul was a self-employed estimator and quantity surveyor.

Paul is survived by wife, Nancy, his love and inspiration; daughter, Lynne (Yves LeBlanc); son, Mathieu (Melissa McLatchy); grandchildren: Cédric, Zoé, Xavier, Nadia and Emma; brothers: Ray (Sarah) and George (Linda); sister, Diane McLaughlin (Rick); as well as his nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, Paul was predeceased by his sister, Camilla Coté.

A special thank you to the staff of the Cardiac Units at the Saint John Regional Hospital and The Moncton Hospital.

The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, 88 Church Street, Moncton (506-858-1900) on Saturday November 8 from 2 to 5 pm only. There will be no funeral service. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the N.B. Heart and Stroke Foundation.
