À la Villa du Repos, le lundi 30
janvier 2023, est décédé à
l’âge de 91 ans, Léonard Gaudet, de
Moncton. Né à Juniper, il était le
fils de feu Théophile et Exilda (Holmes)
Gaudet.
Avant
sa retraite, Léonard était mécanicien
de camions chez Universal Sales.
Il laisse dans le deuil son
épouse depuis 65 ans, Suzanne (LeBlanc); deux filles:
Annette Léger (Donald) de Moncton et Gisèle
Thellab (Claude) de Dieppe; deux fils: Réginald (Giselle)
de Moncton et Daniel (feu Rose) du Colorado; cinq petits-enfants: Luc
(Véronique), Troy (Bobby), Céline,
René (Brianna), et Eric (Emilie); deux
arrière-petits-enfants: Anaïs et
Pénélope; trois soeurs: Anita Collette (Alfred)
de Leominster, MA, Edith Warwick (Garry) de Kingston, ON, et Maria
Tapper (Charlie) d’Auckland, Nouvelle-Zélande;
quatre frères: Emery (Jeannita) de Leominster, MA, Normand
(Yvonne) de Lakeville, Tilmon (Rose) de Saint-Paul, et Edgar (Dianne)
de Seabright, N.-É.; ainsi que plusieurs nièces
et neveux.
Outre ses parents, il fut
précédé dans la tombe par deux
soeurs: Alice en bas âge et Sarah; et un frère,
Alban.
La famille recevra les
condoléances au Centre funéraire et de
crémation Frenette, 88, rue Church, Moncton (506-858-1900)
dimanche de 14h à 16h seulement. Les funérailles
seront célébrées en
l’église Notre-Dame-de-la-Paix, 87, avenue
Murphy, Moncton le lundi 6 février à 10h30.
L’inhumation se fera au cimetière paroissial de
Saint-Paul-de-Kent. En mémoire de Léonard, un don à
Maison Nazareth ou une oeuvre de bienfaisance au choix du donneur
serait
apprécié.

passed away on Monday January 30, 2023 at the Villa du Repos. Born in
Juniper, he was the son of the late Théophile and Exelda
(Holmes) Gaudet.
Prior to his retirement, Léonard was
a mechanic for trucks with Universal
Sales.
He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Suzanne
(LeBlanc); two daughters: Annette Léger (Donald) of Moncton
and Gisèle Thellab (Claude) of Dieppe; two sons:
Réginald (Giselle) of Moncton and Daniel (late Rose) of
Colorado; five grandchildren: Luc (Véronique), Troy
(Bobby), Céline, René (Brianna), and Eric
(Emilie); two great-grandchildren: Anaïs and
Pénélope; three sisters: Anita Collette (Alfred)
of Leominster, MA, Edith Warwick (Garry) of Kingston, ON, and Maria
Tapper (Charles) of Auckland, New Zealand; four brothers: Emery
(Jeannita) of Leominster, MA, Normand (Yvonne) of Lakeville, Tilmon
(Rose) of Saint-Paul, and Edgar (Dianne) of Seabright, NS; as well as
several nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by two
sisters: infant Alice and Sarah; and one brother,
Alban.
The family will receive condolences at Frenette
Funeral and Cremation Centre, 88 Church Street, Moncton (506-858-1900)
on Sunday from 2 to 4 pm only. The funeral mass will be celebrated at
Notre-Dame-de-la-Paix church, 87 Murphy Avenue, Moncton on Monday
February 6 at 10:30 am. Interment will be in Saint-Paul-de-Kent parish
cemetery. In memory of Léonard, a contribution to
Nazareth House or a charity of the donor’s choice would be
appreciated.
