Condolences

I first met Roger in the mid-1970s when our family rented a cottage near him at Cap Brule. We often played tennis on the court behind his cottage. We often discussed politics and his travels with the Trudeau campaign on the train in 1972. I frequently encountered him on the Roger Leger Road near Cap Brule. He was always friendly and engaged. My sincere condolences to Jackie, Emery and family.

I'm so sorry to hear about Roger's passing. He was a constant presence in my favourite place. Brulé has been special to me since I was 6 and I am so grateful for the care and love and his preservation of the feel of that space. I have so many childhood memories, visiting the horses, walking by the cottages and raising my girls to love it there as much as I do. He always had a smile, a wave and a chat as we went by and he will be greatly missed by many. Sending my heartfelt condolences to you all. Kelly

We were saddened to learn of Roger's passing. He was such a kind and gentle soul. We will always hold dear our memories of the many summers we spent at the cottage.

My Family and I have fond memories of Roger. First memories were of him riding ‘stately’ down the Brule Rd on his horse, letting us all pet’ the horse as he went by. My Dad and I kept horses at ‘the Barn and for my teen years. Emery would help Ann, Dorothy and I “saddle-up” as we trotted up & down the fields and beaches. At that time Emery was not quite in his teens and was entertained by catching flies (with his bare hands!!) in the stalls!!! Roger was a true Gentleman. Kind and generous with his time. Condolences to the Family
