Our heartfelt condolences to you Gisele and all of Ray's family.

Please accept my deepest sympathies on Ray's passing. I had the privilege of working with Ray at CKBC-AM back in the early 80's, and still have many fond memories. Ray always got the news to air when it was still news, not the history departments that exist today. He was the best at providing the true unbiased facts. I am sure he will be missed by many.
— Francis Pitre
Our sincere condolences to you and yours.

My sincere sympathies…. A new star in the sky!

Gisele, our deepest sympathies and condolences to you and your loved ones for your loss. Ray was a soft-spoken gentleman with a deep baritone voice. He was a pillar in our community and knowing Ray he was a pillar in every community he set foot in. He will be missed. Sonia and I hold you and Ray in our hearts and send you love.

Ray was a special man who contributed so much to the Bathurst community. I remember his golden radio voice while growing up and even delivered his newspaper on Elm Ct. What a rich life, my sincere sympathies.

Gisele, sorry for your loss. Ray was missed here in Fredericton when you moved. Now we miss him more. We always had a warm welcome to your house when I visited in New Maryland.

We will always remember Ray with a smile. He possessed a great zest for life while making you feel like you were the centre of his attention. He and Gisele were the perfect complement to one another. He was very much loved and will always be fondly remembered.

Dear Gisele and Ray’s family
I’m sorry I missed the celebration of his life. I was in Moncton a few weeks before and went to the funeral parlour thinking it was on that Monday. So as you can see I tried to attend. I sat in my car in the yard and re-read the obituary, which by the way was brilliant, and read that it was two weeks away! I did watch the online service and it was lovely. I especially loved seeing his kids and grandchildren and learning how Gisele and Ray met. Did you know that Ray and Fran were my confirmation god parents? Ray probably did not even remember. I believe I have a picture somewhere.
Ray’s apparent success at resilience and a happy long life is heartwarming. Also it was nice to see so many familiar faces in attendance. Someday soon I’m going to go through pictures and when I find some of the Burke family I would love to share them. Do send me your contact information and I will. Mom had (and I now have I think)pictures from when the kids were little. My love to all of you. I am sorry for your loss of this special man. Love, Lynne.
