One last poem to Claudette
My heart is so broken as I write this final poem
So saddened to hear our Father has taken you home
A true Angel on earth sent down from heaven above.
To heal the wounded and smother them with love.
Always there when we need you with a hug like a bear
We knew we could count on you and knew you truely did care.
You rescued so many from their trauma and pain
For ever your loving impact on so many will remain.
You allowed us to dream, to love and be loved,
Because of you we are able to soar into the skies above
Your are our mentor our forever strength and song
Thank you for always fighting for us and believing we belong.
May you rest in peace Claudette. Thank you for loving me,moulding me and always being there. So blessed to have you in my life.
Love forever Ellen

I was deeply saddened to hear the news of Claudette's passing. My sincere sympathy to Doug and family. I got to know her well serving as her Deputy when she was Minister of Labour. We spent many long days together in promoting labour peace and building relationships between business and labour. We travelled to many countries together and shared many stories about each other and our families. She was a very special. Warm hearted and a very strong and determined woman. She just had a special mission and devotion to those less fortunate. I like so many will miss her smile and her hugs.

Dear Doug, Nick & Chris, & the Arsenault family. Please accept my deepest condolences on the loss of our beloved Claudette. When people asked me who I worked for on parliament hill, it never ceased to amaze me the positive reaction I would get when I told them Claudette Bradshaw. Everyone knew her, from MPs to ministers to colleagues and building workers, they all had a nice comment to say about her, as if they knew her in person. And in a way they did, because she was so approachable and giving of herself. She was an outstanding boss who inspired confidence in her staff to go above and beyond to help people, to not take no for an answer and to get things done. For that, she always showed her appreciation. She will be dearly missed. May the fond memories of all you shared together help make tomorrow a little brighter.
— Louise Levesque
