When people asked me who I worked for on parliament hill, it never ceased to amaze me the positive reaction I would get when I told them Claudette Bradshaw. Everyone knew her, from MPs to ministers to colleagues and building workers, they all had a nice comment to say about her, as if they knew her in person. And in a way they did, because she was so approachable and giving of herself. She was an outstanding boss who inspired confidence in her staff to go above and beyond to help people, to not take no for an answer and to get things done. For that, she always showed her appreciation. She will be dearly missed. May the fond memories of all you shared together help make tomorrow a little brighter.

Claudette was one of a kind - she was extremely special in so many ways and to so many people. I experienced one of her famous “bear hugs” and her warm smile and personality. This beautiful person is who made me the person I am today, she helped me enormously in my teenage years. I have so many fond memories of her at the Moncton Boys & Girls Club, her strength,Her energy, her positive outlook on everything, she was just there for you when you needed her, she was my rock! My fond memories of her include weekend sleep-overs with all the girls at her apartment on Mountain Rd, her help in finding and locating my dog in Albert County, and her gift of honouring me with the Girl Of The Year Award in 1973, what a lady....what a gift you were to me! Rest in Ipeace beautiful, you will "always" have a big print on my heart!

I had the privilege of working at Labour Canada for 28 years under some 17 different Ministers of Labour. Claudette was the most caring, compassionate people-oriented individual whom I encountered in that portfolio during my career.
