Mona Scott
1921-2010
Mona Scott, 88, of Moncton, passed away peacefully following a short
illness, on Thursday September 2, 2010 at The Moncton Hospital. Born
on October 20, 1921 in Goshen, NB, she was the daughter of the late
Joseph Michael and Jennie Theresa (Breen) Malone.
She is survived by three daughters: Cathy of Summerside, PEI, Susan and Shauna, both of Toronto, ON; three sons: Paul (Marion) of Oakville, ON, Michael (Joanne) of Moncton and John of Ottawa, ON; two granddaughters: Joslyn and Erica; one great-grandchild, Elaina; two sisters: Theresa Madden (late Adrian) of Smith Creek and Madelyn Richard (Eric) of Moncton; one brother, Austin (Eileen) of Fredericton as well as several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband, John “Jack” (1986); one sister, Anna Elizabeth and four brothers: Gerard, Joseph, Frank and Matthew.
By request of the family, there will be no visitation. Funeral mass will be held at St. Bernard’s R.C. Church (Botsford Street), Moncton, on Tuesday September 7, 2010 at 11 a.m. Interment will be in Our Lady of Calvary Cemetery, Dieppe. In memory of Mona, a contribution to the New Brunswick Heart and Stroke Foundation or to a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Frenette Funeral Home, Moncton (858-1900).
