Sr. Lucie Cormier
1925-2008
Sister Lucie Cormier, in religion, Sr. Marie Pierre-Thomas, passed
away on Wednesday November 26, 2008 at 553 Elmwood Drive, Moncton, at
the age of 83. She was in the 61th year of her religious
profession.
Born October 3, 1925 in St-Joseph-du-Moine, N.S., she was the daughter of Louis and Hélène (Doucet) Cormier.
Besides her religious family, she is survived by two sisters: Thérèse of London, ON, Rita of Montréal; two brothers: Émile of Chéticamp , Linus of Montreal, many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by six brothers and four sisters.
Sister spent the greater part of her life doing housekeeping in Trois-Rivières, QC, Morinville, Edmonton, Lac-la-Biche, Pincher Creek, Alberta, Saulnierville, NS, Barachois, and many years as a volunteer at Villa du Repos in Moncton.
The remains will be resting Friday from 2 p.m. at 553 Elmwood Drive,Moncton from where the funeral mass will be celebrated on Saturday, November 29 at 10:30 a.m. Interment will be in Our Lady of Calvary Cemetery, Dieppe.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Frenette Funeral Home Ltd., Moncton (858-1900)
